Noble Grain Shipping Policy

At Noble Grain, we take great care in ensuring that your custom furniture arrives safely and on time. Please review our shipping policy below.


1. General Shipping Terms

  • All orders are subject to production lead times, standard lead times are 4-8 weeks, but may vary based on the item ordered. Customers will receive an estimated shipping timeframe at the time of purchase.

  • Shipping fees are calculated based on the delivery location and item size.

  • Noble Grain reserves the right to modify shipping costs due to unforeseen factors. Customers will be notified of any adjustments before dispatch.


2. Delivery Methods

  • Local Delivery: We offer in-house delivery services within designated areas to ensure careful handling of your furniture.

  • Third-Party Couriers: For locations outside our delivery zones, third-party shipping services may be used. Noble Grain is not responsible for damages caused by external couriers.

  • Customer Pickup: Clients may arrange to collect their orders directly from our workshop by appointment. Pickup must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.


3. Delivery and Inspection

  • Customers or their representatives must inspect goods upon arrival. If any visible damage or defects are found, they must be reported immediately.

  • Acceptance of delivery confirms that the order was received in good condition.

  • Noble Grain is not responsible for damages occurring after delivery.


4. Lead Times

  • Production times vary depending on the complexity of the order. Estimated timelines will be communicated at purchase.

  • Delays due to material shortages, supply chain disruptions, or unforeseen circumstances will be communicated as soon as possible.


5. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must ensure that furniture will fit through doorways, stairwells, and elevators before delivery.

  • Any delivery obstacles should be communicated to Noble Grain in advance. If a delivery attempt fails due to access restrictions, additional fees may apply for reattempted delivery.

  • If using a third-party courier, customers are responsible for ensuring proper handling and packaging requirements.


6. Shipping Damages & Claims

  • For in-house deliveries, Noble Grain will take responsibility for any damages that occur during transportation and will offer suitable solutions.

  • If third-party couriers are used, Noble Grain is not liable for damages incurred in transit. It is the customer’s responsibility to handle claims with the courier.

  • If a shipment arrives damaged, customers should document the damage with photos and notify us immediately.


7. International Shipping

  • Currently, Noble Grain does not offer international shipping. Customers interested in shipping furniture outside of South Africa must arrange their own logistics.


8. Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Once an order has been processed, no changes can be made.

  • Cancellations or adjustments are only permitted before production begins. Deposits on custom orders are non-refundable.
